The Village of Apple Creek is partnering with ODOT District 3 to construct a sidewalk extension located along the north side of U.S. 250 near the east end of the Village. The current eastern limit of the Village sidewalk is at Hunter Street, which ends approximately 950 ft. short of the large residential allotment beginning at Apple Ridge Drive, further east. Providing sidewalk access to this allotment will connect more than 100 homes to the Apple Creek School and local businesses downtown. AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) will be providing engineering services to Apple Creek for this project. To ensure the proposed project is viable and successful, the Village and ODOT District 3 are seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include those involving archaeological, architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
