Dear Residents:

UPDATE: June 11, 2021

The Village has entered into a contract with Central Painting that covers all maintenance of both of the Village water towers. The main problems that have created the intermittent "brown water" are in the Cemetery tower. The interior coatings are in need of replacement. Central Painting has given the Village a start date of October 15th to start the rehabilitation of the tower. The actual work will take 2-3 months. The Village will empty the tower and water will be supplied by the Dover tower during that period.

The Contract with Central Painting will run for a 10-year period and during that time they will take care of annual inspections, cleaning and maintenance of both towers to insure proper operation.

We understand the frustration of the residents of Apple Creek but please be assured that we are doing everything possible to correct this situation as soon as possible. We will continue to monitor the water for bacteria to ensure the safety of everyone in Apple Creek. Please continue to let us know if you experience issues at your home so we may follow the issues to completion.

Again, Thank You for your patience and have a safe and healthy summer.
